Joomla 6 compatibility
VirtueMart says its 4.6 line does not work on Joomla 6, and that VirtueMart 5 is the path to Joomla 6. VirtueMart 5 is still a beta, released for testing as 4.9.x builds.
Joomla 3 and 4 stores are out of support
Official Joomla 3 support ended on August 17, 2023 and its paid extended support ended on February 17, 2025. Joomla 4 support ended on October 17, 2025. Many VirtueMart stores still run on one of them.
