Remove Author Name, Creation & Modified Date from Joomla Articles

Joomla allows users to remove certain information regarding article creation date and time, modified date and time and author name from articles. Although it is advisable to include these most of the time, yet some content writers may prefer to compose evergreen content for their Joomla websites. Remove Author Name Created Date & Modified Date & Time from All Joomla Articles

• Log in to the Joomla backend after entering the user name and password
• From the Joomla Admin Panel, go to Article Manager
• Click the Parameters icon on the top right corner of your screen
• From the drop-down list in the Parameters field, locate the Author Name, Created Date and Time, Modified Date and Time
• Select Hide to hide the respective fields
• Click the Save button to save the changes made

Remove Author Name, Created Date & Modified Date & Time from Single Joomla Article

• Log in to the Joomla backend
• Access the article to be edited by any of the following ways:

1. From the Joomla Admin Panel, go to Article Manager
2. If you are viewing the article from the frontend, click the edit icon found at the upper right corner

• Click on the Parameters – Advanced pane in the Parameters section of the Edit Article screen
• Locate the Author Name, created Date and Time, Modified Date and Time in the Parameters list
• After selecting, do any of the following:

1. Use Global: Uses the settings in the Article Parameter Global Configuration
2. Hide: Hides the information and overwrites the global configuration for the current article only
3. Show: Shows the information and overwrites the global configuration for the current article only

• Click Save or Apply button in the toolbar to save the article
