How to enable Smart Search in Joomla?
Joomla 2.5 now includes new features called as the Smart Search which is new to Joomla 2.5, while the previous version by default includes the Site Search features. The Smart Search achieves lots of improved functionality to incorporate more searching techniques, tricks that are supported by Google.
The Joomla 2.5 developers still now they are not sure or have much knowledge about this feature as to handle large websites, so its ability to scale well is not yet known. The Smart Search initially is not enabled by default but we’ll walk you through the steps and show you how to enable smart search in joomla 2.5.
To enable Smart Search in Joomla 2.5:
- Log into your Joomla admin dashboard
- In the top menu hover to the Extension and the click Plug-in-Manager
- Then use the Filter search tool for Smart and then click the button to enable Content -Smart Search as shown in Screenshot
